Items Needed for Summer Play Street

Inwood Community Services will place a summer play street on Vermilyea Avenue between Isham & West 211th Street that will open the week of July 19 or 26 and run through the end of August for children age 6 to 18. The play street will provide a variety of activities for our young people. To assist Inwood Community Services in the effort, Assembly Member Adriano Espaillat's office is asking residents to donate any of the following items they may have tucked away in storage. The items may be brought to Inwood Community Services, 651 Academy Street between Broadway & Vermilyea Avenue, 2nd Floor and left at the front desk for Angelo Ortiz, Program Coordinator. Suggested items to donate for the play street:

Board games; card games; checker and chess sets; construction and colored paper; markers and crayons; Elmers glue; Fiskars scissors; Watercolor paint sets; Poster paints; Nok Hockey table; Volleyball Nets, Volleyballs; Basketballs; Wiffleballs and plastic bats; Handballs; Small Pool tables; Sidewalk chalk; Large Oak tag; Jump ropes; Two or three large plastic storage bins and ball bags; Soccer balls and Nerf footballs.
